Just left Cambridge services. Next stop Blyth and then home. Most are stuffing themselves with KFC! 

Back in England

We've landed back in England! Tired, aching a little in places but very happy.

On board the Spirit of France

We have boarded the Spirit of France and are setting sail for England at 6.45am English time and disembarking in Dover at 8am. All aboard. 

Journey home

Having watched Grease, ice age 3 and Chicken Run and then slept for most of the night, we have just had to wake up some very sleepy individuals and issue them with passports ready for security at Calais. We are hoping to get on an earlier ferry than predicted and be back home sometime in the afternoon. 

Day 6 pics

We have set off home after a quick pack, shower and spaghetti carbonara tea. Next stop Calais early tomorrow morning. In the meantime some pics... 

Day 6

We caught the public bus to the lifts today. The sun is shining and the conditions are perfect for skiing. This morning the ski instructors took most of the rest of the group to the top. The three that remained enjoyed the bottom slopes and even a hot chocolate. 

Final pics from day 5

Some final pics for the day. Tomorrow we travel up to the Salober ski area by local bus and back later in the day by the same route. This is so Ned and Jo, our drivers, can sleep ready for the long journey home. We are all packed now and ready for a quick shower, tea and jump on the coach tomorrow after our final day skiing. The forecast is sunny, so we should get some great photos for the last day. 

Tyrolean evening

This evening we were visited by two local musicians - one playing a guitar and the other with an accordion. They can also yodel! They entertained us for an hour with songs, dancing and singing from the Tyrol.
